(22,072 posts)watching this whole disgusting process unfold? Where? Has rump replaced all civil service workers? Surely not. Or, has he intimidated these people so much that they are afraid to speak up, despite the laws we have on the books protecting whistle blowers? Disgusting.
This is another thing that when all of these disgusting republican representatives are thrown out of office, that the laws governing such unruly behavior needs to be beefed up and a partisan political body such as the senate should have absolutely no say in how this impeachment or criminal conduct on the part of any lawmaker be handled. I know that the House is governed by democratic law makers but they are following the rules of law, including those laid down by republican law makers years ago! What hypocrites (republicans).
They seem to think that the American public doesn't remember these things, and also, they seem to think that the American public doesn't watch the news cycles. All a bunch of whinny BS from the republicans as usual. They've proven themselves unable to even care or feel anything about the lives of their voters, via their one single major law they've passed, the 2017 tax cut and jobs bill, where over 80% (more actually) went to the top 10% (and probably more into the top 1%). Leaving the rest of us to pay the resulting deficits being incurred as a result of this gross mismanagement of tax authority.

(90,560 posts)Trump is too good at calling violence down on people, for one thing. Others besides him will fill the internet with vileness on his behalf.
And that's just Trump. The rest of the GOP -- well, look what they did to Dr. Christine Blasey Ford. Her life is destroyed.
