Our great Farmers will recieve another major round of “cash,” compliments of China Tariffs, prior to Thanksgiving. The smaller farms and farmers will be big beneficiaries. In the meantime, and as you may have noticed, China is starting to buy big again. Japan deal DONE. Enjoy!

came from. I think it was the granges back in the late 1800's that even set up co-op farm equipment manufacturing, though that didn't work out well. It was also farmers that were among the first to push for a federal income tax. Of course almost all farmers were dirt poor back then and were being screwed by the excise taxes and every other which way.

Lebanon MO. Groceries were good, and all kinds of other stuff (and of course, farm staples). This is prior to the Walmartization of small town America, although I think MFA is still there (Missouri Farmers Assoc.).

I can see it out my kitchen window. Members share equipment. With the cost of equipment, it is a good deal.

I will let you know if we get anything.

We get some extra money because we allow a windmill and an access road on our property. They have been very fair and honest with us. I don't trust 45 to behave the way the wind farm people have behaved.

In his mind economics with China is about some limited farm products. He’s shitting all over the majority of Americans. Amongst other things he ought to address is one of our biggest exports; plastic waste. China doesn’t want ours any more and we are running out of countries willing to take it.

https://www.farmers.gov/sites/default/files/documents/Market_Facilitation_Program-Fact_Sheet-Sept.pdf

The Market Facilitation Program (MFP) provides
direct payments to help producers who have been
directly impacted by illegal retaliatory tariffs, resulting
in the loss of traditional exports. The MFP is
established under the statutory authority of the
Commodity Credit Corporation (CCC) Charter Act and
is under the administration of the U.S. Department of
Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA). The
Charter Act authorizes CCC to assist in the expansion
of domestic markets or development of new and
additional markets and uses.
Producers may apply for MFP through Dec. 6, 2019

I understand that three payments will be made over the next year.

I would like to thank Democrats in tax donor states for providing this to Republican red state farmers. They don't deserve it.

Very little to individual farm owners. Thus it always is. Family farms go bankrupt and are bought at low prices by the corporate farming industry.

Add to that the impact of climate change that has delayed planting in the spring and delayed harvests in the fall, and more and more small farmers are going bankrupt.

What money is doled out comes too little and too late for most family farms. By the time it shows up, they're already far down the road to bankruptcy.

American agriculture was booming when Chris joined the business. Global demand stoked high commodity prices, with corn nearly $5 a bushel and soybeans more than $13 a bushel.
