Early in that insane story, I came in to class where we all had to fill in a very short open ended questionnaire. Who is PM?, Have you heard any rumors about him etc? We had a tew older students who lived off campus who had not heard any rumors.

The graduate student teacher then told all the rest of us to stay absolutely quiet. He then led them through the "clues" and asked what they meant. He played the various things backward and they did not hear what many of the rest of us did. Not knowing what ur was suppose to say, they did not hear it.

He then explained that he had used us as lab rats and explained the rumours to the bewildered students who had not heard.

I knew only one person who actually believed it. She was in my dorm and woke our entire floor up crying and screaming. Apparently, she tried to send her astral body to check things out and learned Paul was dead. Yeah, the late 60s were weird.
