General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsSo why do you vote for the Democrat?
I was just thinking...voting for the Democratic candidate is my version of endorsing the values and belief systems personified by the candidates.
On occasion I've been disappointed, but for the most part the candidates I've voted for support:
The rights of women to earn equal pay for equal work.
The rights of women to make choices regarding their reproductive decisions.
The rights of all men and women to bargain collectively in the workplace
The rights of society to ensure that the justice system is fair.
The rights of individuals to practice their religious beliefs are not Impeded.
The rights of non believers in theism are respected.
The rights of all residents living within the borders are equally enforced, regardless of legal status.
The rights of children to a decent and proper education.
The rights of all residents to adequate and minimal health care are are availanle.
I could go on forever but it just becomes a diatribe...
Looking for a list of reasons that separates us from thrm...
Thanks in advance.

(54,349 posts)Why am I a Democrat? Simple: I do not believe that having a different skin color, belief, or income makes one a superior or an inferior being to myself.

They might sound bite something that sounds good once in awhile during an election year. But it never is true or is real.

Perhaps I should have said. I'm a Democrat and vote for Democrats because....
E.g...I don't think that mining in National Parks is a good idea.
