Eddie Van Halen has been released from the hospital on Sunday after reportedly suffering intestinal issues and abdominal pain.
TMZ said the rocker's recent hospitalization was the result of "a bad reaction to the drugs Eddie is taking to battle throat cancer."
Eddie is already back to rehearsing music with his son, the report says.
The legendary guitarist has been suffering from throat cancer for years, and TMZ said last month that he's been traveling to Germany for treatment. Eddie apparently believes he developed the cancer from a metal guitar pick that he used more than 20 years ago. Eddie would supposedly cradle the pick in his mouth, and doctors have told him that could have been the source of the cancer. Eddie was also a heavy smoker for years.

(22,587 posts)HPV can infect the mouth and throat and cause cancers of the oropharynx (back of the throat, including the base of the tongue and tonsils). This is called oropharyngeal cancer. HPV is thought to cause 70% of oropharyngeal cancers in the United States.
Get well soon, Eddie!
