"VP Pence left DC just minutes after Sondland began testifying" - on CNN, What does this imply?

That he's trying to make a run for it?? lol.

This is on their home page in the live updates feed. Just struck me as odd. Are we supposed to think he should be sitting watching all of this, I had assumed he wasn't watching already.

S was in a meeting where Pence attended. S commented that the funds were stalled until Zelensky made his investigation statement and Pence nodded as if he knew about that.

Pence knew.
