(TalkingPointsMemo) Rep. Justin Amash (I-MI), who left the GOP in July due to frustration with the partys timid deference to President Donald Trump, jabbed at Republicans on Wednesday for attempting to obfuscate the shocking revelations that have emerged from the House impeachment inquiry.
They talk about it like were all stupid, like we cant see whats going on, Amash said during an interview with HuffPost.
The independent lawmaker slammed his former Republican colleagues refusal to accept Ambassador Gordon Sondlands explosive testimony, which shattered Republicans defenses of Trump entirely.
Sondland testified to a quid pro quo. He testified to significant details and facts, Amash told HuffPost. He testified that he thought it was wrong. So the inference is obvious that the President was withholding security assistance.
HuffPost reported that Amash made those comments while riding an elevator full of Republicans.
(I love that last line)

(22,077 posts)representatives think that they are the only ones that can think (of course when I say a republican lawmaker is thinking, I'm being really tongue-in-cheek here, they really don't think, they just act in bigoted and thoughtless manner, w/ no thinking at all).
The fact of the matter is that the law was broken.
The president and others who went along for the ride need to be convicted of lying to Congress (where applicable) and/or impeached and removed from office.
They are a criminal enterprise and thus need to be removed from office quickly.
