5 years for murder??!!??

Yup, if someone murders another person drunk driving, they get...5 years in jail.

That's all.

And given there have been many cases across the country where they got little to no prison time, I'mm glad to see this.

5. Wife of a friend just served 17 years

Her third DUI, resulted in a death. She was released after 17 years a few months ago.

By the drunk driver who killed my cousin and crippled her boyfriend for life. It was his 9th DUI.

For some reason killing a person with your car, while drunk, is punished far less than killing by other methods.
