The highway to fascist autocratic hell is paved with the discarded patriotism, honour and decency of the empty souls of those who remain committed to the conservative movement.
Some conservatives shredded any sense of morality and integrity a long long time ago, but one always had the sense that there were some good eggs left. Some who one may disagree with on policy, but you knew their intentions came from the right place – that they wanted to serve the country. Now, if they are still aligned with the conservative movement, their souls are stained indelibly with the stench of partisanship, xenophobia, deceit and self-serving dishonesty. They care not one jot for the people, the rule of law or our long held democratic conventions.
Yesterday conservatives sat and listened to Dr Fiona Hill thoroughly debunk the notion that Ukraine tried to influence the 2016 election, and that, indeed, Russian interference in US governance is endemic. Literally within minutes of her testimony these same conservatives, again, started pushing the Russian Security Services fake narrative of ‘but Ukraine.’ They are agents of the Russian State, sitting in Congress. They are no better here in England, where the conservatives are refusing to release a parliamentary report into Russian interference with Brexit. They are agents of the Russian State, sitting in Parliament. Western conservatives enabling the wanker of the East to destabilise our countries because of power and greed. Traitors, the lot of them, they are deserters of democracy.
Show me a conservative who puts country before power and law above party in today's climate and I am afraid I would think you were trying to befuddle me! I could certainly not believe my eyes…

I think the RW pigs like what they see in Putin's kleptocracy: virtually unchallenged power and wealth. For the forseeable future they'll be needing his help in dismantling and privatizing democratic government and its assets and rigging it to ensure it continues indefinitely.

they actually elected, but I do think there's the possibility of generational "chips on their shoulders" about something that happened within their families long ago...maybe civil war slave issues, maybe more current issues of family sociioeconomic issues like using or selling of illegal drugs (how to flip your income?), issues of flight or deaths due to war (absent fathers) at a time that women were generally not as educated nor abortion available and perhaps turned to their "religion" in an overzealous attempt for control over their circumstances; veterans that were "notch" babies that felt slighted or alienated because they got less by being a few days/months short of the higher benefits their brothers received? So they've elected politicians that model greed, hate, and the less than human grace of God? I just keep SMH that there's so many delusional people out there that support an Orange Blob who clearly reflects greed, hate, and lack of any foundation in morality or ethics - an allegiance of revenge against their country for their personal long-held grudges? I don't get it these folks could ever have been that overwhelmed and dissatisfied with their freedoms as to shut out others' ? Why cling to a party that long since espoused policies to suppress votes, create their own loopholes, maintain obvious control over women, PoC, and refuse to address regulations that would help reduce gun violence.
As for Rethugs - they were obviously not raised right for they exhibit and model every quality parents would not want their children to exhibit - there's a real difference between "tough love" and clear abuse of people and power! I just don't get it, but then sometimes I think they chose to not practice what they preached purely out of revenge for that long-held generational grudge that empowered Democrats to at least try to do/practice what is the "rule of law," and have policies of decency that exhibit nurturing positions that fit what should be inherent equalities to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. To be sure, there are examples of human failure, but not a wholesale mindset of evil intent...STILL SHAKING MY HEAD...It's got to be the corruption of selfish lust and greed that overwhelms every other strategy of "revenge" for that grudge served pure and cold (heartless) that they've embraced.
