No matter how small or large the corporation you work for is, quit your job ASAP. Everyone knows that corporations are corrupting our very society and government. They are the source of all evil, and promote overwhelming capitalism. I don't care about your excuses, like feeding your family, paying off your college debt, or anything else. Quitting your corporate job is the number one thing you should do, and you should do it immediately. I don't want to hear about the good things your company does. It is a corporation, so it is evil because it is a corporation.
If you don't quit, you are culpable by your actions. You are responsible. Corporations brought us Trump and they are going to be an instrument of our destruction. No more feeble, lame despicable excuses! Just quit! Now! Today!

(62,444 posts)Upon initially graduating with an electrical engineering degree a couple of decades ago, I decided not to work for the many large defense companies that hired most of my classmates, and to pursue a different path.
I work for myself now, and am really glad I made an early decision not to shackle myself to that system. Along the way, I've never had an employer that wasn't an educational institution or a small business.

(10,721 posts)...isn't remotely comparable to quitting a particular (and unnecessary) social media platform. People managed to stay in touch with loved ones before social media and certainly can without Facebook.

(25,428 posts)The number of posters who act as though they believe every corporation is some behemoth with thousands of employees dominating an industry is a bit disturbing.
There are 5.5 million small businesses that are incorporated in the US, including many that are one or a handful of employees under a corporate title for business, liability, and/or tax purposes.
Lumping them all together is silly, yet "we" seem do that rather often. Similarly, holding entry-level employees responsible for the actions of upper management in larger corporations is similarly misguided, yet "we" do that, as well.
Blanket statements are rarely accurate, and the ones that are simply false are not any better coming from our side.
