Per administration officials, BLAGO - another person with an Apprentice connection - has been pushed for a pardon by Trump's son-in-law, Kushner. Aides got Trump to agree to a commutation instead.

Maybe that hits a little too close to home? Wheres the but they got the security assistance in the end defense go?

That $ 12 'donation' probably cost $ 20 in staff time to get a check for $ 12.
Everything is transactional.

That does not mitigate his guilt. I am not sure how this would go over with Illinois Democrats. After all, it was Obama's seat he was trying to sell. I know Blago remains unpopular here, but I am not sure what this will mean politically.
