An argument for not rushing the process.

“Since the Republicans are acting as Trump’s accomplices,  oversight of this corrupt administration requires that the House keeps the pressure on to prevent them from continuing to engage in criminal behavior and abusing their power. An early Senate acquittal is likely to have the opposite effect. If the Democrats aren’t doing all this to stop Trump’s outrageous criminality and expose the massive corruption of this White House, why are they doing it at all?”

Things are still in the House. There may not be more witnesses to the intelligence committee, but things have moved to the judiciary committee.

The process has definitely slowed them down and put them on the defensive. It's almost like an ankle bracelet for the criminals. For that purpose alone, they should not rush the process.

Once this goes to the Senate, it will be two-weeks of pure GOP circus followed by automatic party-line acquittal. I do not think even one of the so-called moderates will vote for removal. Not. One.

I say use this time in the house for relentless investigation and exposure of EVERY crime. Keep Trump on the defensive and unable to move on.
