So I wrote and said maybe she should consider voting for T's impeachment.
Probably won't... but we'll see.

definitely a swing district. It hadn't been represented by a Democrat in almost 20 years. The last election won by a Democrat was in 1998. Debby Stabenow had represented MI-08 since 1996. She decided to run for the US Senate in 2000 and won. MI-08 has been red ever since until 2018. Slotkin was against impeachment until this Ukraine thing blew up. She was one of the 7 freshmen representatives who penned the Washington Post Op-Ed in September raising grave national security concerns and favoring the impeachment inquiry. I understood she had to be cautious before this exploded because her margin of victory was quite slim, 3.8%. Since 2000, the republican has won by an average of at least 10 percentage points. She's ex-military and ex-CIA, so she knows how serious this all is. I called and wrote to her office expressing my support. She also had a public meet-up at a Lansing restaurant that was well-attended. I'd say over 95% of us attending were solidly behind her decision.
