(70,497 posts)Here's the part I can't explain: There are two kinds of hosts -
1) those that are very Self-identified, where it's all about them, where the filter is them. You're never allowed to forget it's THEM. Entertainment by ego.
2) And the other kind, the real-Pro type, the (generic?) performers who are chameleon all out *performers* where there are few self-references and they dissolve into a variety of characters, entertainment for entertainment's sake.
********I'm not a particular, personal fan of FERRELL, just citing him as a type 2 here.
Overall, this one's been on the better side of SNLs this season (with the past too frequent weeks off so early), especially good with the debate skit and all the classic faces - DRATCH, RUDOLF, whassisname (the Bloomberg impersonator) - (I don't like HARRELSON but was good with the BIDEN SMILE).
