The plus side of impeachment

Some Democrats focus more on the negatives of impeachment.

However, it could be a positive if the Democrats are able to hold together for this fight. Unity is better than division before an election.

Also, since the Chief Justice is presiding over a trial in the Senate, he could rule that witnesses are required to testify in front of the Senate, without a possible long delay thru the courts. This could get fact witnesses in front of the trial much quicker.

Furthermore, it would keep Trump and the Republicans occupied. They will be on the defensive every day. It would be like an ankle bracelet on Donald Trump.

millions might be motivated even more to vote against the GOP.

Some folks will look very bad in the public eye.

Trump has always operated outside of the law, and has never been punished other than fines and paying attorneys to settle lawsuits.
