Trump suggested Conan is male ("himself&quot . Then WH officials say the dog actually is female. Forgive me for appearing cynical, but has Conan magically now become male again in order to not make the president wrong? It's happened before....

A White House official now tells me that Conan is actually a male dog, after we were told earlier today that Conan is a female dog.

Working for more clarity on the matter.

1. If you google this, Newsweek originally said it was female, but has corrected.

Military.com (who, you might imagine would ACTUALLY care to get this right) says the dog is Male.

Few details were released about Conan right after the Baghdadi raid. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Army Gen. Mark Milley said at the time that military leaders were protecting the dog's identity. There were initial reports that the dog was a female, but Pentagon officials later confirmed the animal's gender was male before Trump revealed Conan's name.
