Carter vs. Reagan was the very first election I voted in, and my father wouldn't stop crowing when Reagan won.
Then he moaned and whined for four years about how the Republicans were wrecking the country.
Then he voted straight Republican ticket.

Then he voted straight Republican ticket.
At some point, he even admitted to my face that Democrats were constantly rescuing the nation from Republican corruption and incompetence.
Then he voted straight Republican ticket.
This continued until he kicked the bucket.
Because everyone around him said they were doing it, and he was incapable of standing apart from the herd.
(And, like them, he was bigoted AF.)

3. Republicans in government: Low job creation, high deficit
4. Democrats in government: High job creation, reduced deficit

Something like:
1. Republicans in government: low job creation, higher deficit, blame Democrats for the problem.
2. Democrats in government: high job creation, reduced deficit, Republicans call it “socialism.”

But you nailed it!

Every progressive news outlet should be reporting these numbers. They should be worn by every Democratic football player in the NFL!
