His "I wish" reply suggests that Kellyanne is not on board with his anti-Trump crusading

He has plausible deniability because his disdain for Trump is right out in the open. Why does he need to write an "anonymous" book? However, if she supplies the info and he just does the editing/writing, then she didn't "write" it either. Accurate deniability for both!

10. I figured that when KAC got mad at a reporter and said that all of George's power comes from her.

You can tell a reporter questions about your personal life are off limits without throwing in a gratuitous dig at your partner. And then when Trump said the exact same thing a few days later, I figured he's the one that's been feeding KAC that idea and that's what George meant about her being in a cult.
