If tRUMP is impeached and the senate DOES NOT remove him, and we win the house and senate in 2020, can the house re-introduce the same charges to the new senate? Maybe add a few more.

But I think the House is holding back some charges so when the Senate acquits him, we can just impeach him all over again. Make him the first President to be mpeached twice!

They'd have to go through something similar to the same process (the intel committee hearings were an addition to the normal procedure this time) and could file the same charges but they can't just revote.

(17,376 posts)Elections dont happen in a vacuum, if the map allows Democrats to win the Senate, Trump has likely lost in a landslide.

(3,836 posts)IMHO, We will probably face many weeks of trump's "I wuz robbed" whinery along with his brilliant projections of "the Dems cheated and lied to win" - Barr will hasten to put a phony investigation of millions who voted to create the blue tsunami wherever it comes from and on and on ad nauseum. I fear that trump/barr/pompeo/pence will not go down without a huge, fascistic fight
