Rick Santorum Is To The Right Of The Pope On The Use Of Condoms

Last edited Fri Jan 6, 2012, 11:39 AM - Edit history (1)

Rick Santorum on condoms:

"...A license to do things in a sexual realm that is counter to how things are supposed to be...

Pope Benedict on condoms:

"..."A first step in a movement toward a different way, a more human way, of living sexuality..."

Wow. Ho w can a candidate for president get to the Pope's right on abortion.

Next, Santorum will go after onanism because that act doesn't result in contraception.

on edit- I don't want to take the Pope's words out of context. He said it in an interview about the use of condoms to prevent the spread of disease. He is placing the emphasis on the protection of life as it should be. Rick Santorum seems to be suggesting that engaging in sexual acts he doesn't like should result in or contain the risk of death.

This morning's news about Man on Dog left me not only speechless, but breathless and there are a few more stories to read about him. One that he won the Iowa caucus!

What a circus.

So what does he expect a happily married couple who are fertile to do if the mother has to undergo chemotherapy, or the father takes thalidomide for multiple myloma?

Is non-procreative sex for a married couple "counter to how things are supposed to be"?

Then we'd all better stop having sex at menopause!

The party of no more "Big Government Control" wants to invade everyone's most personal lives.

These Brothers of the Bronze Britches republicans, need to check their own Dave Vitter class undies, because it’s not just their pampers that are so engorged with toxic scheisse. They themselves are topped off with that same gory gory goo, we shall call poo.

Republican Family Values = Using the money that church going believers in the GOP, donated the party in good faith, to pay for trips and entertainment at a bondage bar in southern Kolley-4-knee-ya. Looking for love in all the outhouses. And falling face first from grace in their little dirty diapers @ thee house of the rising moons?

Church going folks must literally be holding their noses, if they vote for anymore, "Republican Family Values"

I guess "for the prevention of disease only"

(this used to be printed on all condoms to circumvent laws against birth control)

Sadly, the official Catholic Church doctrine on birth control still bans all artificial means of contraception.

The Pope made his remarks in the context of gay male prostitution. It's a recognition that protecting life by stopping the risk of sexually transmitted disease trumps dogma.

It is interesting to me that some did not add 2+2 sooner. The entire religious argument they use against gay people is easily applied to straight sexuality, as the 'Scriptures' spend much more time codifying and regulating the straight life, married life included. The women in particular need to get wise to this, it is not 'a gay issue' it is an issue for all people.
Many like to skip the 'Scriptures' that speak of straight sexual practices and the role of women, so that they can focus on teh gay. Fact is the NT says many things that apply to straight people, and many more that apply to women in particular. Those who rationalize the anti gay portions, or excuse them, or mitigate the wickedness of those attacks are in fact setting things up for the attacks on their own.
If you do not think women should remain silent in and ask no questions to any other than their spouse, and that only at home, then you do not support the 'Scriptures' on sexuality. Period.
Time to understand that, and join the fight. It is YOUR fight too, straight America. Can you see that now? That whole religious dogma tactic cuts two ways. And if it is good for teh gay, it will certainly also stand as good for the rest of you. God is in the mix, you know.
