Boy, Susan Collins sure does love being a "key GOP Senator."

On every important vote (Kavanaugh, shutdowns, impeachment witnesses are just a few examples) she casts herself as "undecided," "troubled," "concerned" or some combination of those. She gets a ton of TV coverage, virtual ink, and attention. Then she does what she's told to do by Mitch McConnell after receiving various "assurances" and making them public. Afterwards when exactly what everyone on the other side of the issue predicted would happen does happen she expresses her "shock" and claims "nobody could have predicted this!"

Every. Damn. Time.

4. They need to keep up the illusion that the republican party has moderate, reasonable members

These "moderate" members are thrown in front of the cameras so the people and the press think twice about calling the republican party what it is, a corrupt and radical party with no purpose other than staying in power. They're meant to soothe the jittery, give them hope that maybe republicans aren't dragging us into an authoritarian hell hole.

It's the same crap we were fed about ivanka before the election. We were told she's moderate, maybe even liberal, and will be a good and restraining influence on trump. And of course she's as corrupt as he is and always was.

Anyone with two functioning brain cells to rub together should have been able to see her for what she is- Pampered Princess Ivanka, opportunist extraordinaire.

13. She is no different than tRump. It's all theater. And don't count on her to vote for witnesses

frankly. She'll get some huge concession from McConnell that will benefit Maine and then vote no, or yes only if the list of witnesses includes Hunter Biden and someone from the Ukrainian government.

15. On TV she sounds so frail, with her shaky Edith Bunker voice.

Then she stabs 330 million Americans in the back at the last possible second.
