A short personal note to Rick Santorum

In Keene today, Rick Santorum told the mother of a cancer patient that people with pre-existing conditions should pay more for health care because they made "poor health choices."

Santorum To Mother Of Cancer Survivor: Sick To Blame For Pre-Existing Conditions, Should Be Charged More
http://thinkprogress.org/health/2012/01/06/399357/santorum-to-mother-of-cancer-survivor-sick-are-to-blame-for-their-pre-existing-conditions-insurers-should-charge-them-more/

As the husband of a woman with MS, I'd like to ask Rick what poor choices my wife made that earned her this affliction.

You stinking bag of fuck.

Say hello to Huck, fuck, cuz you're singing the same tune. From the Will Pitt archives:

Best wishes to you and your wife and family.

For our family, we are grateful that the so-called "Obamacare" allows for our 21-year-old daughter to remain covered under our policy. She attends college part-time, and for that reason was excluded. Not any more!

Also, her part-time job offers no healthcare plan, which is typical.

No one cared before that her reasons for doing all of this "part-time" work is because she is also pursuing a career in ballet
-- which requires amazing dedication, focus, strength and grace 24/7, 365 at hours a day.

I've been upset with Obama for a number of things, but I am grateful that our daughter has healthcare.

If it's one thing that the Republicans have taught me, and taught me well, it is that the Democrats have to be willing to fight as dirty as the Republicans do in order to win.

Whenever a political candidate brings a personal issue to a public venue, then that issue becomes a public issue. The Santorums have publicly talked about this very private issue, so they must be trying to use it for political gain; therefore, it becomes political fodder.

UI researchers develop innovative protocol of treatment for MS patients

University of Iowa researchers, using an innovative therapy involving intensive nutrition, progressive exercise, and neuromuscular stimulation, have observed evidence of improvement in patients with secondary progressive multiple sclerosis (SPMS).

This treatment approach, described as radical by the researchers, was selected as a "Hot Topic" at the Neuroscience 2011 annual meeting, presented by the Society for Neuroscience and held this week in Washington, D.C. Babita Bisht (photo, right), a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Health and Human Physiology in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, is the first study author and presented the research Sunday afternoon at the meeting.

Terry Wahls, a clinical professor of internal medicine at the UI Carver College of Medicine and the Iowa City VA Medical Center, is the senior study author and living proof of the effectiveness of this treatment plan. Wahls was diagnosed with SPMS in 2003 and soon became dependent upon a tilt-recline wheelchair. After developing and using this protocol, she is now able to walk through the hospital and commute to work by bicycle.

BTW - Dr. Wahls is the mother of Zach Wahls, the college student who went viral on YouTube defending his two moms to the Iowa Legislature.

The more he stands on his soapbox and shills for his corprate masters. The more he stands at the paupet and brags the wonders of his vengfull cloud being. The more he preaches that his and only his is the way to the light.
The more easely it can be seen what a shallow, hollow, pathetic little man Santorum is.
A man who doubts his own convictions to a point that he must accept the convictions of his masters.
A simp who doubts his fellow man.
A pathetic smoke wisp doubting even his own masculinety.
A frightened child, cowering in a corner awaiting the wrath of his god simpley because he allowed his own wife to live.
Easly seen as a circus parson, takeing the center ring only to fill his pockets and hide his own inadquities.

He convinces me that I am not a true christan; for I can not pity him.
