Their chyron a few seconds ago was Bloomberg is considering Hillary as a running mate. That came from the Drudge Report and Washington Examiner - both far-right trash rags.
Why is MSNBC amplifying that nonsense?

(115,267 posts)I can't imagine Hillary taking the job. And there's another catch: They are both residents of the same state. The president and VP can't be from the same state.

(5,090 posts)Bloomberg's campaign.
There's an old article from 2016 talking about his potential run for president. And this is exactly the strategy they suggested. Because to many who are native NYers and people more familiar with policies he supported, he is not going to be seen as a suitable candidate. The suggestion was for him to pick a VP early, one that would make him look good to people that might find him disqualifying. My money is on his campaign started this rumor.

Again,it is the Producers and Copy Writers who run the so called Infotainment at 24/7 Cable News.
Got a whole ton of attention didn't it.
Trying to create a False Equivalency story which they tend to do on a daily basis.
It's called the Hook.

(4,723 posts)Maybe I am looking back on the past with rose colored glasses, but it seems like at one time news was simply reported, without an "analyst" or a "contributor" to spin every single story. I know that there have always been figures like this, but it seems simply reporting the news has gone the way of the dodo.

Gets tough watching and listening to local and National News at times. One picks up the Hooks planted by the script writer and the little hidden Management agenda adjectives and adverb placement with in those text.
