Trump's Sharpie moment might have seemed minor at time, but in retrospect it should have been a wake up call as to how damaged Trump really is.
He is not capable of handling even the most minor situations where he is not being praised. We can forever about him handling a crisis, he's far too damaged to even begin to understand how to cope with a crisis.
He honestly believes its all about TV ratings or about the size of a crowd he can gather to fall for his con game, the thought of doing anything productive to solve a problem never even enters his mind.

(63,221 posts)Most of us know that. But we have a Senate that refuses to acknowledge the truth about him and cares more about retaining power than they do about preserving our democracy.

Always hit back. Always attack your opponent. Never give in. Never admit fault. Never settle. Ever. Ever. Ever.
Then, when you do settle, don't talk about it.
As a sociopath, he enjoys agitating others while he remains calm. He outlasts other's capacity for outrage. His voters applaud this behavior, as our misery is their joy.
It's really a crystallization of the GOP's political (and therefore governing) philosophy for the last 40 years.

(33,310 posts)It's not going to happen; a former President is never going to be jailed.
I want him repudiated by the same jackholes that elected him, just like Bush Jr. was when all the Repukes decided Iraq was a bad idea after all.

(1,244 posts)It is ALWAYS about himself and money. The stock market takes priority over a possible Coronavirus. He cannot protect us in any crisis and republicans still remain silent. They are willing to sacrifice anything and everything to maintain their power. This is heart wrenching and I keep hoping for a major positive change (before the election).

(50,267 posts)the cult doesn't see the dead coronavirus victims piling up on the ground. Everything about the guy is smoke and mirrors and it has been since day one. He was "rich," but it was always borrowed money that didn't get paid back or other people's money. He's got a full head of hair unless you dislodge the dead creature on his head. He had the biggest crowd at his inauguration until you put up the pictures. And on and on and on.
