It seems like the Republicans in congress have been Un-usually quiet lately. I wonder why?

I guess that can happen to people who deny reality, suddenly are faced with reality. This virus is reality, Trumps failed response is reality. The stock market dropping like a rock is reality. All their lies and propaganda will not work this time.

Both the current incompetence with the crisis and all the shocking firings and DOJ interference make Dems look good and Repubs look dumb.

Even though Pence is a lying puppet, they would have looked better to replace Trump with Pence as face of Republicanism since Pence at least has some decorum and dignity to carry out their rightwing policies in less inflammatory ways. But dull Pence lacks the insane Trumpist cult following they were afraid of losing and need to win in November.

They don't want to have to answer for their vote. (Like the media would ask)

The party switch to GOP following his "no" vote on impeachment was seen as highly calculated, although perhaps the better term at this point would be MIS-calculated.

Republicans had a chance to rid this infectious diseased anti-USA shithole and keep Democracy flowing, but nah, they fell in line like good little cultist, while America was and still is burning.
