The paint clearly shows the deficits in most people's "routine' hand-washing and how to address it. No, it is not rocket science, but it may as well be. Likewise the 'hows' of removing gloves without self-contamination. Share this with your "lay" friends/family. Hell, share it with your health professional friends too. They need reminders.Link to tweet

Who in gods name washes their hands in the way she did? Looked like Nicole Kidman's hand clapping episode. Geesh.

(537 posts)I guarantee you this is not how health professionals wash their hands! Other than that I was referring to the first part of handwashing on the video. Not the part where she shows how to correct the hand washing.

(5,722 posts)Seriously, I thought the same. I get it: I see plenty of co-workers do a half-assed job of washing their hands in the restroom (if they wash their hands at all, dirty bastards). But I've never seen anyone splay their hands out like that to guarantee minimal contact. I presume the doc did so for illustrative purposes.
Even the most basic (decent) hand-washer, at the very minimum, does the "roll one hand around inside the other" to get the outside, then "run one hand back-and-forth from fingertip to grip-the-thumb on the other" to get the inside. Personally, I do a thorough job all the way up the wrists and between the fingers, including "scratching" my palms to get the soap under the nails (including thumbs) before rinsing the hell out of everything. (That and age are making my nails brittle as hell.)
Unrelated side note: Dudes, if you feel you have to "dominate" the soap or towel dispenser by beating the shit out of it, remember this: anyone who sees you do so knows you're insecure because you have a small, limp penis.

(537 posts)The example was like someone afraid of touching themselves. Thank you!!

(6,110 posts)smaller penis (in limp state) expands lot more when sexually excited and gets harder than
longer ones in limp state. Longer penis can not stay as hard because of the length.
For example a shorter pole is ALWAYS stiffer than a longer pole of the same diameter.
It is simple and basic physics.
The nerve center in a woman is in her clitoris, and to stimulate that part only requires a short and hard penis.
Also the so called G spot is not 8" deep inside vagina.
To conclude, longer penis (7-9 inches) may look good on porn videos, but a 5-6" penis will create more intense orgasms.
I was referring to the 1st bit of handwashing. I've never witnessed such a thing? Have you? Handwashing like you're afraid to touch yourself??

You wash your hands like you are daintily applying hand cream to the tops? That's what I'm talking about. Like a hand model on QVC?
no, I am way too often in a hurry and even though I DO around 25 seconds, I scrub very fast and thorough it get it all in.

(2,440 posts)The Mayo Dr. demonstrated the germs that are left from poor washing technique. I didnt really see that in this demonstration.

(4,980 posts)We all have hands that need proper washing. Ill adopt that extra finger tip curl motion, and will get after my thumbs a little more.
