So, how much would THIS cost?

Shut down everything for 2-3 weeks in the US. Govt issues “quarantine checks” to every household to make up for lost wages, maybe only at, oh, say, 80% of wages? All bills due receive a one-month forbearance

Obviously having enough food/toiletries/etc would be a huge issue to resolve and this is all probably way too cost prohibitive but we shouldn’t be in deficit spending for the current state of the economy. Deficit spending is supposed to be during down times to protect the economy and all Americans

I dunno. Just a wild thought....

That's logistically impossible.

Primary essential services:
Hospitals
The electrical grid
Water supply
Telephone/cell services
Police/armed forces
Firefighting
Prisons
Air traffic control
EMS

Plus:
Media
Petroleum
Ports
Banking
Transportation
Refuse collection
Agriculture
Etc.

People will just have to be good Americans and pick themselves up by their tissue boxes.

There is no substitute for the dignity of illness and the freedom to die. Disease happens and it is not an excuse to get some form of disaster welfare when able bodied people are able to exercise the independence of fevers, coughing, hacking, fevers and breathing difficulties in the way they see fit. Handouts will only discourage recovery and encourage idleness and dependence.

In fact, we won't even get tossed a free box of tissues.

out the working class (cough-cough). Can you see him taking a break from stealing kids from their parents at the border to give folks a break on their bills. He probably wouldn't include certain groups, like democrats, women, minorities, immigrants, non Christians, the poor... So the only class remaining is the wealthiest, and Trump has no problem showering them with gifts.
