The scandal: we had one month to make and distribute test kits. Trump deferred.

The rest of the world has been testing for Coronavirus for weeks, whereas the United States lacks an adequate supply of test kits.

Why?

Because Trump believed he could solve the problem by closing down flights from certain areas and ignored the urgency of his experts.

So whatever time was spared was squandered!

Trump also felt testing wasn't in his political interests. It could tank the stock market and thereby putting his election into more question.

It's easier to pretend there are 15 cases rather than knowing there are hundreds or thousands.

So Trump withheld life-saving information as well as test kits.

Where's the stink?

He needs a fall guy and Pence is it. He doesn't intend to keep us safe, just the opposite, he wants a pandemic so he can cancel the elections and get Nikki to run with him for 2020. He's so stupid, he thinks she will make a difference. HA! No one will vote for him who wouldn't previously, just because he added a woman. Such a freaking delusional fascist.

That's also why the info is sequestered. He can't shut the media up but he thinks he can control the info. To some degree he can but the professionals will revolt, I suspect. They aren't going to stand by and allow this to go on much longer. Patriots take risks for good.

ETA: CONGRATS! This was my 35,000th post! And I used it replying to your comment. I was thinking of making an OP out of it as some do but I forgot!

Could he still be limiting distribution of test kits to cover up the extent of the pandemic? Might this have been part of his calculation? Did he greatly harm our readiness by knowingly depressing the number of kits that went out in Feb.?

I doubt if he can get away with it now, but in Feb.???

(I'm 73 now and will never get to 35,000 posts even though I'm retired and have all the time in the world. Congrats.)

since January or early Feb. The the thing I see at work here are partly his gang of thieves, especially the lizard league of religio-fascist end timer nazis.. Pence, Pompeo, and Miller. Loser45 is too stupid to think up the details of this but those four, this smells like a scenario like they might cook up. Widespread, slowly intensifying panic and self quarantine practices are assured.

The stock market is a response to this but I don't think it's all fear. It's not like that money was going anywhere other than to other investors. A resale, sure but to whom? Other investors, it's not going into infrastructure or our pockets so it's only getting shuffled about among a small circle of friends.

I have lots of speculations on who, what, where, when and whys floating about. It's kind of like trying to catch bubbles in figuring out which scenario is correct. I don't think this whole thing happened by accident but I haven't connected all the dots, it's still the identification period, have to find all the dots too.

Claiming (depending on the circumstances)

1. That the stock market was affected by the virus and is no indication of his viability

or

2. that people gathering to vote will spread the virus.

and I ended up with a question. The elections are conducted by the states and, therefore, they have control over them not loser45, how could he get away with that? Especially if We the People refuse to comply with such an edict?

I'm bracing for impact. I'm also thankful to live in a sparsely populated area with lots of fresh air. But when the tourists start showing up in this high tourist traffic place, all bets are off. There are only so many grocery stores.

A thought just came to me. I was visiting a tourist town last year at this time and a lot of the town was afflicted with a viral thing that sounds a lot like this covid19. My friend and I got it too while we were there. We had been in town for to ski for a couple hours but got detained by weather so we went to a couple bars and then the next morning we were both sick with it. It was that fast. So I wonder if this was floating around for a while and only flared up and was identified recently. This tourist town sees millions of Asian tourists each year. I wonder if it may have been dormant and hit again this winter along with some mutations.

Just wondering about those points but only because of my experience with that illness last Feb. with the same symptoms.

Which should tell you what his platform will be ... surprise tax cut and bragging. But if 25% of the population is sick by then it won't help him one bit.
