5. Walmart sells 91% isopropyl alcohol for $2.50/quart.

I think the 70% is even cheaper.

Your 75% ethanol would probably work, unless you plan to dilute it with lots of aloe vera gel.

I'm pretty sure you're joking, but I've seen quite a few posts recommending starting with 80 proof (40% ABV) vodka, then diluting down with gel or glycerol.

8. AFAIK, Ethyl alcohol is the active ingredient that kills 99.?% of viruses.

Isopropyl kills germs but not sure what the percentage is.
