in London dated a Colombian proctologist and she said that she was the craziest woman she ever dated. We met her once, at a double dinner date in Mayfair, and she told the most horridic stories right before all our main courses came. My wife (then gf) freaked out and couldn't eat her food. I think you're talking about ophthalmology board certification, which isn't a requirement, not the medical license. He actually got that also, but got it three years after they switched from lifetime certifications to ten year certs, and then let it lapse and did they weird family cert thing afterwards.

(That said, he's a massive a-hole anyway.)
