An ophthalmologist. So he of all people should understand why funding is needed to deal with this crisis. I’d love to hear what his rationale is for voting no.

on how to select your medical specialization. I would argue with "Sane" in the case of Squirrel Toup, but def agree with the rest of the flow to ophthalmology.

in London dated a Colombian proctologist and she said that she was the craziest woman she ever dated. We met her once, at a double dinner date in Mayfair, and she told the most horridic stories right before all our main courses came. My wife (then gf) freaked out and couldn't eat her food. They were THAT bad. I was furious but the woman paid for her meal.

Plus, my dog, just the job description. Nice arseholes don't go to doctors, lol.

He is literally licensed by an organization he created, the National Board of Ophthalmology, which consists of himself, his wife, and his FIL.

"He has held a state-issued medical license since moving there in 1993." - wikipedia

I think you're talking about ophthalmology board certification, which isn't a requirement, not the medical license. He actually got that also, but got it three years after they switched from lifetime certifications to ten year certs, and then let it lapse and did they weird family cert thing afterwards.

(That said, he's a massive a-hole anyway.)

9. He voted no because

Mar 2020

he wanted an amendment tacked on to it with huge foreign aid cuts (cuts to State Department Cultural Exchange programs and reduction of funding for the United States Agency for International Development, among other things). His BS amendment got voted down.

They pulled their own teeth, set their own broken limbs, replaced their own heart valves. They were true individualists, fully self sufficient. No need for virus testing kits. And that's the world Rand Paul wants for us.

22. It's a fictitious place in "Atlas Shrugged"
Thu Mar 5, 2020, 05:46 PM

Written by Rand Paul's goddess Ayn Rand. It's the place to which a bunch of wealthy capitalists moved to avoid the parasites they previously had to live among (their perspective on everyday people).

And my comments are just sarcasm but that was the theme of the book. No need for anything but their own talents.

Just explaining. He wanted funding offsets by reducing foreign aid, always a Libertarian pet peeve.
The combined House and Senate vote was 511-3.
