when he thought there would be a vaccine in just a couople months? He looked genuinely a bit afraid. My guess? He thought he could BS through the crisis without concern for others or harm to himself as long as he could get a vaccination before it could be a threat to him.

Then he learned the hard fact that it will be 18 months at the earliest. He did not get it that this is a new virus, is not the flu, and requires a new vaccine.

pension. And now he wants to cut SS, too? I can't be the only one in this position. It's enough to mak gray panthers come out in droves, with walkers, wheel chairs, and canes, to vote him out.

People would not hold the stock market against him if he had not bungled covid 19 so badly. A pandemic can occur in any administration. But he was not prepared and did nothing to protect us. The west coast cluster is his fault for bringing US citizens home without adequate protection for the people who met and brought them. Should have sent the CDC ir at least consulted them. Should have tested all of them and quarantined everyone wirh contact with the returning people. Should not have put sick and well people together on the plane.

Should not have cut the CDC budget and other public health services to make up for tax cuts. Should have planned for handling supplies shortages caused by lost trade and maximized focus on parts of the economy that could grow, e.g. manufacture of masks, wipes, hand sanitizers, etc. Plan on surplus food production and distribution for communities in quarantine to stock up.

If we had a functioning emergency system, he could have called them together with the CDC and businesses to tackle the problem. Obama would have been on it in a split second. He was, regarding ebola.

The market still would have dropped, but it might not have been so disastrous. Investors would have maintained some degree of confidence.

So Trump made the economic situation worse by not getting on top of this pandemic from the start. And he made the spread of it worse by his stupidity, incompetence, and indifference.

So yeah, we should hammer away at these things. Biden should go for the throat - figuratively - for this health and economic mess. Get the nation so angry that Trump is afraid to show his ugly orange face in public.
