An envelope and a pen are handy things to have around (even in this case the visual might help you). Trust me I have seen engineers not have a BS radar, but you have to think before you talk.

The stat I like to pull out is that the combined wealth of about the 12-15 richest in US would cover the deficit for one year.

Another way to look at it is every American goes $3,000/yr. more in debt every year from the deficit. Each American owes about $70,000 towards the debt

A question of, do you immediately agree with and assume the truth of everything you read, or do you contrast it with your other knowledge and evaluate it for credibility?

You just can't take the approach she did in this day and age. The conclusion she repeated was ridiculous and damaging.

the $1 million per is based on Bloomy's net worth, not the $500 mill he spent on the campaign.

Now, they could have clarified that, and maybe it's hard to fit in a tweet, but really? Some knee jerk responses here.
