Natasha Bertrand: The White House "has taken total control over staffing at DoD..."

Natasha Bertrand ✔@NatashaBertrand

The White House "has taken total control over staffing at DoD and anything that they perceive as disloyalty is a disqualification."

"They want to make sure that there's no hint or indication of conflicting loyalties," the person said. "It's complete and total control."

More than a third of all Senate-confirmed civilian positions at the Pentagon are now vacant or filled by temporary officials... out of 60 senior positions, 21 lack permanent appointees. Thirteen of those positions have no nominee identified. https://www.politico.com/news/2020/03/06/pentagon-vacancies-donald-trump-122805

Complete and total control. That is what Trump wants.

complete and total control. That is the ulterior motive behind whatever Trump says and does.

That's the ticket and we are on our way if it can't be stopped in time.

Complete and total control. That's a dictatorship, a tyranny and the outcome will be nothing but massive tragedies. Trump said he really got into reading Mein Kampf, even though we find it hard to believe he has read much. Now, if you read it, well, that's a glimpse of the future under his rule and we have already seen the results in the past.

His contacts with Obama staff my be helpful in recalling and filling position rapidly. That has to happen. We need to hit the floor running to fix the hellscape. He cannot pull an Obama dragging feet reaching across the isle. Clean house of everything trump. Besides who the hell wants to dwell in the pig pen trump leaves. Worse germs than this virus.

treasonous? I want the book thrown at rump and if that includes that he crossed the street against a red light during his presidency I want him charged with that, too, -- along with his spawn.

The elections are conducted by the states individually, he can't control that. He could try to forcibly stop them but I'd bet he'd be in for a rude awakening.

IMO, he will let there be elections, roll the dice he wins out right, votes get hacked, whatever.

Whether he actually concedes and leaves willingly if he loses is another thing ...

Our Pledge of Allegiance changed, too, I'm sure you know. Before Eisenhower, it didn't include the "One Nation, under God" nonsense.
