Nursing homes are licensed by and under control of the Fed. Not under state control. In that regard, Inslee did all he could do, and that is to stay out of the way, and let the Federal Inspection crew who arrived on Wednesday, get into the nursing home and do its required job.

Jay Inslee is pretty amazing, but he's not God, so please, take a look at how he HAS stepped up, and cut him some slack. I, for one, believe he is doing whatever he can to manage the state's response, given the fact that we are the epicenter of the US epidemic.

When the first death occurred, Inslee declared an emergency and kicked the states emergency response into gear.
I work at the hospital where the victims of Life Care were transferred to. WA health department came in, CDC came in and they worked as a crisis response team with county and healthcare crisis responders to formulate a response to treat victims and begin a proactive response to the increasing threat to the community. As the numbers grew, they had to evaluate what was going on while preventing a mass panic rush on the ER crippling patient care.

Inslee and his team handled this very well.
