thanks to his piss-poor response to coronavirus. He owns this failure.

She's young enough that she has time to wait until someone less loathsome comes along to attach herself to.

She would be stupid to accept the nomination. Unless there was some plan (conspiracy) to get Trump out of office and have her replace him (that is just too much to consider), she would be linked with his failures the way Pence will be.

Pence was almost flat broke when he accepted the VP nomination. I hope he has saved up the grifting money because he is likely not to be very employable after this.

I think Haley thinks enough of herself to run on her own accord in 2024. I don't think she would try to attach herself to anyone.

If Trump dumps Pence over his handling of the coronavirus response, it will just point out how incompetent Trump himself was in appointing Pence in the first place.

Pence has absolutely no expertise in the field whatsoever - ergo, Trump will be seen as the idiot who chose him for a task he obviously couldn't handle.

Besides, Pence is the guy who keeps the Evangelicals in line behind the Dotard.

I 100% agree that this could and should be used to show just how incompetent and unfit Trump is. If Pence fails, it is still Trump's failure for picking someone completely out of his depth to head the response.

I knew someone who had learned some odd management technique which he called, "Putting someone between you and the problem". It was flabbergasting to hear it said out loud. WTF? That is called "not being a leader". I understand delegation. When I was running a social rehab facility, I trained up my staff to be able to respond to situations when I was not available. I wanted them to feel confident that they could handle situations when I was on call elsewhere. I never put people in front of me to take any blame. If they failed then I would say that their failure was my failure as well for not preparing them enough or for not responding to something personally. I never ever thought of putting someone out there to keep the blame off of me. I was in charge therefore, I was responsible.

Trump is something else. He is a coward and a bully. He certainly put Pence in front to take the heat off of himself. He will not hesitate to throw Pence under the bus.

I do think that many people are starting to see through this but I do think that there are still many who would side with Trump rather than assign blame appropriately.

I hope that the virus can be contained because I do not want people to suffer. I do hope that if we cannot do enough to avoid a pandemic, that people realize that it was something that any competent President could have gotten ahead of but that Trump is fundamentally unfit to lead anything or anyone.

... about putting Pence in charge because "he really doesn't have anything to do".

There's a remark that will come back to bite him in the ass.

If he did not have his father's money, the man would have been dead or in prison a long time ago.

He just has no humanity in him.
