What a sh*t show trump has created. He just needs to let the CDC, public health dept, and private sector doctors & scientists do theri jobs in getting the processes in place to manage COVID-19 virus.

and there is no praise for him in it, so he has to spin it down to insignificance.

But people notice, they take no joy, no courage, from his words, just go 'OMG, grandpa is spinning yarns again!'

But a leader who says . . . nothing to see here, go about your business! is no leader.
Who wants one of those? Fewer and fewer, hopefully.

Even if he knows no one is buying it and it’s really hurting at the polls and the stock market is tanking, he just won’t backtrack, certainly won’t admit any error. He’ll continue to do the same stuff, try to minimize it, paint the whole thing as a great success (for him) somehow and shift blaming into high gear. It’s the only thing he knows so he’ll just keep doubling and tripling down.

In a normal administration the president would be on TV giving us the straight skinny and telling us we are in this together and will get through it together.

Trump was on TV asking about his ratings.

This will end badly for him. And unfortunately us as well.

It's the ability of a person to be in another person's position, to see things from their side, to see a problem they have and maybe offer constructive solutions. And if not that, just feeling sorry for them, and expressing that and some sadness for the other person's predicament.

But what do you call it if someone has no insight or empathy, but just expresses some concern that another person's misfortune may reflect badly back on them, that the unfortunate person may wake up and realize past promises weren't kept?

Because that is what Trump is doing, worrying that people getting sick and the stock market crumbling are reflecting badly on him.

In a different time, script writers for FDR, JFK, Bill Clinton or Obama would be furiously crafting words for a fireside chat from the President. And he would have up to date information, and appear once every few days on every TV station for most recent updates.

Trump on the other hand is saying . . . . I don't care America, you are on your own!
While blocking most attempts to keep the American public informed.

Sad times we live in.

... them and distributed them but decided not to !!!

People do ... NOT ... understand how screwed up this has been from the beginning.

The president is literally keeping 3500 people on a ship to be infected because he doesn't want the numbers " to double .."

and he cannot tell the truth and brags about his hunches, people who still know how to think for themselves can distinguish the facts from fantasy he promotes.

So, let him continue to "lead" the way and more and more people will continue to leave in droves.
