https://www.alternet.org/2020/03/under-a-democratic-president-mcconnell-vows-a-return-to-total-obstructionIf a Democrat wins the presidential election in November, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has already promised what hell do.
McConnell noted that if Republicans win back the House or President Trump wins reelection that takes care of it. But he pledged that even if Republicans lose the White House, he would use his position as majority leader to block progressive proposals
I guarantee you that if Im the last man standing and Im still the majority leader, it aint happening. I can promise you, McConnell added.
Bastard, no surprise.

(5,377 posts)Is he really that stupid?
Is he really saying, if a democratic president shows up, you'd have no choice but to shoot (*) me, because things just won't work while I'm around?
With that level of hate, he is totally disqualifying himself from the job anyway. He is not an immovable object, bigger men that him have crumbled and blown away as dust in the wind.
(*) Shoot or retire him to a non-significant role, either way, I don't care.

The bar is really low, so I'd say he is better than half the Pubs in the Senate. Most of them are all awful all the time.

(5,377 posts)Older politicians forget they are in power due to the will of the voters.
They firmly believe in their innate superiority, and their power is ordained by God, and immutable.
Joy if McConnell can be proven wrong on that last part.

All that said, McConnell has been the single most destructive element in Congress for decades. It's time for him to GO.
I suggest replacing him with HER: https://amymcgrath.com/

(50,553 posts)THe most optimum thing would be for the good people of Kentucky to vote McConnells useless ass out of the Senate. But...lets say we retake the majority in the Senate, keep the House and put a Democrat in the White House, and McConnell somehow gets reelected.
Step 1: Invoke the Nuclear Option so McConnell cant interfere.
Step 2: In the first 30 days, re-file all the legislation McConnell killed during the Obama Administration. It gets passed by Congress and signed by President Biden.
Step 3: In the next 30 days, re-file all the legislation McConnell killed during this Congress. It gets passed by Congress and signed by President Biden.
We can easily do 12 years worth of congressional business in two months.

(10,270 posts)McConnell will go on faux nuwz and cry about how unfair it all is, that the Ebil Democrat Majority is sooooo partisan and just doesnt 'reach across the isle' for OUR input...
Whatever, Traitor.
'Yertle the Turtle King, HAD A GREAT FALL...' is the moral of the story.
Fuck Moscow Mitch.
These people have been with us since the failure of Reconstruction. C'mon, America, and let's SOLVE THAT PROBLEM,
once and for all.
