If Trump decides to use the coronavirus epidemic to block the November election -

who can stop him?

I'm sure he's already fantasizing about declaring martial law to contain the spread of the virus. Since we don't have online voting anywhere and we only have mail-in voting in a few states, people have to go to the polls to vote. People who are quarantined can't exercise the right to vote.

Of course, if he only declared martial law in the big (blue) cities, everyone else could still be allowed to vote and it would be considered a legal election.

They, including the Republican states, would tell him to go to hell if he tried that shit.

The states can hold the elections, but if people are welded into apartment buildings they can't vote.

It is a real issue.

It sounds like too much for many people to grasp, perhaps, but I would think that Tarumpa's Regime fantasies are actually the reality he wants to create. I have no doubts whatsoever.

While it may sound like sheer speculation, (I am basing it on observation, but I am not alone) he has a lot to gain by mishandling this crises and so, I smell a rat, and it is he. While people would easily blame it on ineptitude, on purpose is another matter. The worse this crises is, the more of an opportunity he has to take advantage of it, especially if he is getting a whiff of the blue wave and a sense that his enthronement is not all that secure anymore.

A rat, when cornered tends to go for the throat. I know that's an trite old saying, but that shoe fits him.

Can we stop with the "martial law" crap.....nobody would enforce it if the orange asswagon tried it.

Crap like this makes us look like the asswagons we are trying to beat.

By not delaying the spread of the virus, it will have a much higher, and more deadly peak, but it will be over more quickly. It will also convince red hats he isn't worth the price of admission.

By november, the virus may be long gone and all that will be left are funeral bills.

What we should be doing now is making it easier for people to vote by mail.
