In 1967, in high school, I played with a band in the Washington DC area called the "Clockwork Orange." Everybody said, "what kind of a screwy name is THAT?" Many just figured it was a takeoff on the "Strawberry Alarm Clock." We would tell people it was a book we had all read, but in 1967 Washington, very few people our age (15-17) read books like that, or had ever heard of this one.

Three years later, long after we had scattered to the four corners of the earth, the film came out, and EVERYBODY knew the name "Clockwork Orange." Too late for us, of course, but I bet if we had stuck together, we would have had a minor career on just name recognition alone (plus a few copyright lawsuits!).

Did they mean "weakened" or "weekend" ?? You could pronounce it either way with the typo.

when he lampooned our Lib side along with the wingnut side people. he said that he's "just a comedian" (no ideological commitment). I hate when that (last) happens.

Was the hosting gig just the power of $$ behind the BROCOLLI franchise?

The opening monologue skit was hilarious!

He's such a handsome man, but he has no problem making fun of himself. It's one of the things that makes him so appealing.
