He doesn't have a serious case and was sent home to quarantine.

but would have gone with "don't know someone who has it as far as I know" if it was an option.

someone I know was in Singapore as people in Singapore
were starting to get it, but we didn't know that yet.
Neither did the people of Singapore.
She's home and the news breaks...a few days later
she finds out that she was there when people in the hotel next to hers
have come down with it.
It was already 15 days? I think at that point.
I see her 3 days a week in close proximity.

We feel like we dodged a bullet.

... so far no lower lung involvement. She's pushing 50 but in good health, quit smoking awhile back.

I hugged her the day before she went to the doctor with symptoms. The hug was Tuesday, doc visit for her was Wednesday.

Now, because my lungs are deep-fried poo already, I am not taking my temperature daily or anything, but I am monitoring how much I'm coughing/how much I'm having to use my inhalers/updraft machine. But that is daily life for me, not anything out of the ordinary.

If I get sick, that still doesn't mean she had a coronavirus, let alone *that* coronavirus. Heck, she could have a normal rhinovirus that she didn't go to the doctor for and it could have hit me bad.

But I am praying she doesn't develop lower-lung symptoms. The timeline on the first Washington State patient didn't have them showing lower lung involvement until day 9 of symptoms, despite being hospitalized as a precaution (that apparently turned out not to work anyway since the Seattle outbreak seems to be genetically a descendant of the same virus he had).

I know someone who doesn’t know yet. She was told by her doctor she should be tested because she’s been traveling. Hopefully it’s just a cold.

Turns out a parent of a child in a school where my kid teaches tested positive. Also, the child showed symptoms and is waiting for a test result. I'm self-quarantined until I know more. Ugh.

Ten days before symptoms can show in some cases I think, I'd say I'm like that cat in the box regarding whether anybody I know has it
