A big test Monday about who is winning Coronavirus data wars

News outlets are currently reporting over 400 confirmed Coronavirus infections in the US as of today, Mar 7.

CDC website still says only 164 cases but they also say the updates are based on numbers arriving by 4PM the prior weekday.

They should register at least part of the jump with Friday, Saturday, and Sunday numbers rolled together.

If they are below the 400 number in Monday’s update, then we know Pence and WH are still playing politics with medical emergency. We MUST communicate to CDC and congress members to hold these people to account.

Exactly. As of this evening, most any independent reporting of this is 400+ SiliconValley_Dem Mar 2020 #2

The numbers vary, but they are somewhere between 422 and 450.

Anything on Monday from CDC below 400 is a lie.

The tests aren’t yet as available as they need to be for the magnitude of exponential growth we’re dealing with, but some saner people have been clear we’d see a pretty large corrective spike in numbers once tests are out there and people presenting symptoms can be either confirmed or ruled out.
