The Associated Press issued a bombshell report on Saturday evening that the White House overruled medical experts who had sought to issue a warning to America’s seniors.

“The White House overruled health officials who wanted to recommend that elderly and physically fragile Americans be advised not to fly on commercial airlines because of the new coronavirus, a federal official told The Associated Press. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention submitted the plan this week as a way of trying to control the virus, but White House officials ordered the air travel recommendation be removed, said the official who had direct knowledge of the plan,” the AP reported.

“On Friday, the CDC quietly updated its website to tell older adults and people with severe medical conditions such as heart, lung or kidney disease to ‘stay home as much as possible’ and avoid crowds. It urges those people to ‘take actions to reduce your risk of exposure,’ but it doesn’t specifically address flying,” the AP noted. “Some experts this week said clearer and louder guidance should be made to vulnerable people, so they take every possible step to avoid settings where they might more easily become infected.”

My mom is just a great mom. She raises her 4 kids right and taught us everything we needed. She’s 77 now and the last several years have been tough for her health wise. She has basically no immune system and is hospitalized several times a year with one type of infection of another.

20 years ago she got turned by FOX News. It’s not something we talk about, but she’s a full on Trumpster. I called her the other day to talk to her about protecting herself from the Coronavirus. She is convinced it’s no big deal and won’t listen to me on ways to protect herself. She has very little chance of surviving it should she get it.

They are taking active measures to protect their citizens and haven't gotten a single death ......yet. They only have tested 800 cases as far as I can tell.

One thing reTHUGs are very good at is turning a negative into effective propaganda to achieve their hidden goals. (See Shock Doctrine.)

Sabotaging/disallowing testing, hiding the real numbers, and not warning those who are especially vulnerable are ways to purge many of the elderly and frail, i.e., the "useless eaters," to use a borrowed phrase. The elderly, the handicapped, and the sick were sent to very efficient "Killing Centers" by the Nazis because they were unfit for labor. Now Trump's maladministration gets to do the same thing, at least in part, just by allowing COVID-19 to spread untested and unchecked. I don't believe for one second that they're not capable of it, either.

That is evil and a crime, and everyone needs to be reminded of it daily. Let COVID-19 be Donny's Doom.

from buying ad space to get the word out to people on what we need to know?

Ads could just report the news facts, e.g. "The CDC wants you to have this information. Donald Trump believes that you don't need it. You decide." Then guve out tge suppressed info.

It would be most credible to listeners, watchers, and readers if it comes from a reluable medical source, not a political one.

Some of us remember the time during the Vietnam war when evening newscasts began reporting 2 sets of figures for the number if dead and wounded Americans in Vietnam. One set was the official government release. The other set came from witnesses on the ground.

Sometimes you have to do an end run around disinformation. Never more important than now.
