I live in a suburb of Baltimore.
The streets are practically empty here. The Walmart near me was nearly empty, of people, besides having all the wipes and hand sanitizer gone, very little TP and paper towels. It's beginning to remind me of the videos of deserted streets in China.

(34,300 posts)decided to replace my old phone yesterday because I didn't want it to break at a time when the supply chain was totally disrupted. There were VERY few people in the Apple Store (I've never seen it that empty) and VERY few at the new ISP I went to after picking it up.
The grocery was also nearly out of bottled water and a lot of other stuff, but not fresh food.
I think a lot of people are staying home here (DC metro area) too.

(2,303 posts)It was surreal. Especially in the toilet paper/paper goods aisle where shelves were empty and only the most expensive toilet paper remained. Stay safe everyone.

(15,800 posts)buying dried beans know what to do with them. I mean, thats the only way I buy beans but I also pressure cook them- easy peasy.
Its just weird that there is a run on dried beans. Usually there are bags and bags of them on the shelves.
