It is difficult to understand what's going to happen to the economy over the next few months...

Sure, people are stockpiling toilet paper and water (our tap water will be just fine) but imagine 25-40% LESS people going to movies, eating at restaurants, buying gas, going bowling, concerts, sporting events, kids birthday parties, family reunions, summer BBQs, whatever, if those things aren't just cancelled outright.

Some of us will be lucky in that we can work from home, but even my business could see a 10-25% hit with people buying less of our product, so layoffs will be a possibility.

With Trump’s tariffs. Now we’ve been hit by the Coronavirus in that the countries that produce some of our components have been hit hardest. The division I’m in is based where the virus is hitting hardest (for now) in the US. Some of us can work from home if worse comes to worse but it isn’t ideal. Most can’t. We are a smaller, family-owned non-traded company and they’re good to work for, but not sure if they can offer employees wages if we have to close down for a bit.

Because of Trump's Trade tariffs. Needles, Threads, buttons, zippers, fabrics, etc. People are still going to need things repaired, restyled, remade for Alterations.

I could be at a standstill for a while. I have been making Doll clothes from fabric scraps to sell off this summer based on $10 an hour, which is Minimum wage in a lot of states now. 20 cents above Minnesota's. I will be okay because girls still play with dolls.

During the years of the Great Depression. ...Makeup products, movies,, Insurance flourished because people needed escape, things to make them feel better.
