And another big percentage is over 60. No wonder they want to go into quarantine.

Sometimes I think we should have a mandatory retirement age so we get fresh thinkers voted in. 75, maybe?

It's not really that whole populations will hurt themselves and others by running screaming down the streets in their bare feet, jumping out of windows, racing blindly into fires, etc. It's that some may decide pandemic disease is a sensible reason to keep their children home and not to go to work.

As for congress, it's a gathering of people whose work exposes them to large numbers of people from all over. I'd say a competent government would have sent them to work from semi-isolation already.
