Just got my part time retail service job hours cut

Upscale mall outside of Chicago. The mall itself was very uncrowded last week, but seemed to pick up over the weekend. We were told to immediately stop major inventory pull projects, as corporate thought the slowdown would continue.
Any other anecdotal stuff going on regionally?

I'm not exaggerating. The escalators were jammed, the aisles were crowded, I gave up trying to squeeze my way into a Starbucks. I was very surprised. Nobody seemed worried about the 28 virus cases we have here so far.
