Trump has lied about the most important issue during his term. "The virus is contained"

..Yes, he will pay the price, and not get elected on that lie. The Republican Party will also take a hit, and may be out of any contention for years. Trump may not even run for reelection if it becomes as bad as people say. This will paint Trump as the horrific liar that he is. It will be clear to anyone who has heard, "The virus is contained".. And, there will be no way Trump can take it back..

The people in his administration who said, "The virus is contained" will also be labeled has horrific liars. If we look at what is happening elsewhere, it was stupid indeed for Trump and his people to say that.

Social distancing is the only way to stop the coronavirus. We must start immediately.

We don’t yet know the full ramifications of the novel coronavirus. But three crucial facts have become clear in the first months of this extraordinary global event. And what they add up to is not an invocation to stay calm, as so many politicians around the globe are incessantly suggesting; it is, on the contrary, the case for changing our behavior in radical ways—right now.

The first fact is that, at least in the initial stages, documented cases of COVID-19 seem to increase in exponential fashion. On the 23rd of January, China’s Hubei province, which contains the city of Wuhan, had 444 confirmed COVID-19 cases. A week later, by the 30th of January, it had 4,903 cases. Another week later, by the 6th of February, it had 22,112.

The same story is now playing out in other countries around the world. Italy had 62 identified cases of COVID-19 on the 22nd of February. It had 888 cases by the 29th of February, and 4,636 by the 6th of March.

Because the United States has been extremely sluggish in testing patients for the coronavirus, the official tally of 604 likely represents a fraction of the real case load. But even if we take this number at face value, it suggests that we should prepare to have up to 10 times as many cases a week from today, and up to 100 times as many cases two weeks from today.

February 25th, Trump said the current number of COVID-19 cases in the U.S. is “going very substantially down, not up.

Referencing the 15 known cases detected in the U.S. at the time of the press conference — Trump said, “the 15, within a couple of days, is going to be down to close to zero. That’s a pretty good job we’ve done.”

Do not let these quotes be forgotten.

3. We are facing a pandemic of disastrous proportions.

Trump and his minions have lied and lied about the Coronavirus. We want the science based facts not denials. We want a comprehensive plan to combat this disease. I am saddened that The CDC here in Atlanta has been decimated and trump minions put in charge. There is no escape for trump and his rethug party. We know the truth.
