Trump and his selective camera opportunities -- another clue to how Republicans operate.

Now that I'm watching Mike Pence become the face of the coronavirus crisis I've figured out what Trump is doing with these pressers. He's controlling them to the extreme he can control them. If there is good news to announce to Americans, Trump is front and center, relaying what he knows. But if it's bad news, he delegates where he can. If he can't, he stands in front of cameras and twists the facts so it doesn't make him look bad. But the coronavirus broke the magic behind that ploy because everyone knows by now, Trump isn't reliable when it came to facts. And to fight this thing properly, we need facts.

The coronavirus was the young boy who finally got everyone to see that the Emperor wore no clothes. As the coronavirus began to take the oxygen from the room, reporters rejected Trump's orchestrated press conferences and instead fought to ask questions. And that's why staff members are now shouting at the press to get them out of the room after Trump finishes speaking. Those staffers act like they learned manners from the feral dogs that raised them. But Trump just smiles while it's happening because they're following his orders. He thinks he's controlling the room, but it's just the opposite. Those rabid orders from his staffer will end up in Trump's historical film biography.

What I am glad to see is that the press doesn't need to get the information from Trump. They can piece the facts from plain research and know from following public record that Trump dug himself a hole the day he dropped the pandemic response team.

From the press's own sources they knew that Trump refused to be part of the multi-country conglomerate that was looking for a usable test for the virus. When he rejected that group, he did it because he believed the coronavirus would never make it into the United States, which proves that he's not proactive. At his level of leadership this creates an opportunity for mismanagement.

What does a person do when they are coming from behind when solving a serious problem? It's very clear to me he will use his own private friends and resources, compounding his perception of profiteering from the presidency.

The only silver-lining in this is that Trump has shown us how to counter them when they come after Hunter Biden. The fact is, Republicans don't know how to govern without relying on their networks and connections, which always puts them in a position of obligation to someone for doing them a solid. That's why they are going to be difficult with Biden's son. They think it's the same thing, but it isn't. One thing is not like the other. It may be low on the swamp meter but there is no quid to the quo. And that's what is going to help Biden break through that distraction.

Everything is rehearsed for Maximum effect. Watched enough Clips to see his Camera Guy do mic checks,Camera Angles, lighting effects as well as setting the Marks for everyone that will be in the Camera Shot as well as any verbal responses.

The Orange Anus learned well from his days of the Apprentice from the Stage Crews at NBC.

He can't bully a virus - it does what it wants - fuck the laws of nature just like he fucks the rule of law.
It's fun watching him squirm as the lies no longer work

Training wheels came off, and as his mum blows on his boo-boo the grown-ups are running in to try to restore confidence in government.

BTW, listening to Pence affirm that they were encouraging companies to provide sick leave to affected employees to encourage them to stay home I thought to myself, "Sounds like the Republicans had a come to Jesus and realized there was a good reason for government regulation." And then they said that they were going to ensure that health companies did not charge or overcharge for tests and medical care and I thought, "Socialist!" I thought we had all walked in a rift of time and space and were looking at a parallel world.

No wonder Bernie is going to lose. They're triangulating his socialist platform!

more competent than Trump, by riding the current of positive change that we're seeing to fight the coronavirus? Trump can't change the fact that it was Trump who put us in this hole. And it looks like Pence is the one who is taking us out.

Sooner or later the law of averages is going to kick in. I really want to witness it. I think the perception of his growing power is more an illusion than we think. It’s like our perception of the MAGATs. We all knew they were there, but their presence and importance has been blown totally out of proportion. The only reason we’re aware of them is because he makes us aware by having his rallies. He’s an expert in creating chaos. He knows nothing nor is he in the least bit interested in governance or management.
