I may have been exposed at work today.

I was not told to self-quarantine of anything, at this point. A woman came in this afternoon and handed me her husband's clinic card, telling me he was still in the car. They had been travelling internationally (not one of the high exposure countries but still a resort) and returned last night when he started having symptoms and was now having a hard time breathing. The clinic doctor told her to take him to the ER next door, they were waiting for him. Wife couldn't remember if they were waiting for him at the clinic or hospital. I called up to the doctor's office and the nurse said THE HOSPITAL!! Wife was wearing a mask, thank god. she informed me that her husband had been touching the card I was holding (great). I washed my hands and disinfected my area.

The hospital will test and I guess (hope) I'll find out. Frankly, I expect to get it eventually anyway. Doubt I'll become very sick; I usually fight things off pretty well. In a way, I just want to get it over with.

Can drugs like Tamiflu protect patients from getting sick from COVID-19?

No. Tamiflu is designed to fit into a molecule in the influenza virus, which doesn’t appear to be part of COVID-19. However, there are other antiviral medications that may be helpful. We’re still learning more about whether these drugs, like Kaletra (an antiretroviral for HIV patients), will prevent people from getting sick entirely or just help people recover faster. Still, there’s a lot of hope in some of the early data we’re seeing. There are also other antivirals being evaluated at the center of the outbreak in Wuhan.

after contracting the virus, and after that you can get it again, according to my state's health department.

Can you provide a link to your state’s health department saying that?

Or at least identify your state?

On edit: searching - covid immunity “four weeks” yields no such information from any health authority whatsoever.

of our state health department and management of our facility. I can't provide a link and our tiny (population-wise anyway) state's web presence is really awful. I can't verify the accuracy of the information in any way and the representative did not state it as fact, merely as one (unknown) entities assessment.

COVID is a moving target. There is so much we don't know. This is merely one of the possibilities.

There are always “possibilities”. Could it have been sent by space aliens? I know of an entire television production crew that would say yes.

Small word, big meaning.

I was trying to be polite by giving you a forthright (without doxing myself) answer to your query but you seem intent on malicious gesture.

Okay then. Have a good day.

Your state must have a small population if naming it would ID yourself. I just wanted to look at the relevant health department website.

All five of us here in Delaware thought your health department said that in some official capacity.

I suspect it's already everywhere. Some of us have probably already had it and don't even know. Still, I intend to be very careful.

Our Governor, Jared Polis, issued a State of Emergency in Colorado even though we only have 11 cases so far. People were rolling their eyes about it today, but what they don't understand is that the SoE opens up loads of resources that WE NEED. It was a smart move. I trust Gov. Polis to do the right thing for this state.
