Denmark just shut down

No English language article I can find but a couple of my friends there are posting about it. All schools are closed starting tomorrow, along with all private and volunteer organizations and cultural institutions. Travel is not legally banned (as of yet) but the Queen and Prime Minister are asking people to stay where they are.

no travel, no going to the office, school, church, shopping.. nothing.

Two high risk people here:

One 83 year old male that is a veteran that is near blind and deaf
One 64 year old disabled female with MS that is half shot

NO HELP, none.

When will these people come to deliver food and supplies like FACE MASKS, GLOVES, HAND SANITIZER etc. arrive?

Being dump listens to Xi, I think we'll be waiting a long time after the doors to our residences are welded shut!

They should send every citizen at least $2500 to purchase some of the necessary supplies they require to live so they can have what they need delivered to their place of residence.

This needs to happen NOW, not next week, not next year, NOW, right NOW.

To hell w/the B.S. tax breaks for the rich!

like 2 weeks ago... and this is what the Chinese HAVE done... and Italy is about to do (a little too late).

We won't do it.

And I'm sorry for your situation.

Training a delivery person to take reasonable precautions (wearing protective clothing, using spray anti-viral solutions, etc) would only take like maybe a week... IF we had a massive program to do it...

But we don't, so those people don't exist yet.

13. I am watching videos and reading the reports from expats that live there.

And I totally believe that they have imposed a nation wide quarantine. Only 1 person is allowed to leave the house or apartment and they are checked on the way out and back... they can't leave the city without special permission.

As for the stats they are publishing about the success of this policy... yes, that could be a total lie.

But it does make sense that it would work.

Finally, China isn't really communist, it is totalitarian married with capitalism. Almost closer to Nazism than communism.

Anyway... Italy is about to follow suit... and I trust them to report the truth.

I have visited often and used their national chain of public clinics. They have them in every neighborhood almost block by block. Your son is in a rational country that has more tests than we do in the US. He is lucky to be there. He is getting better health care there than he would here.

... Our prime minister just warned everybody, that there is no need for panic and emptying out the supermarkets. A few minutes later cars went to all open supermarkets, and people are panic-buying everything!

28. Lot of rumours that schools in Ireland will be shut down from next Monday. A lot will be shut anyway

for Monday and Tuesday (St. Patrick's Day), so it's only an extra 3 days. Question is whether they stay closed the following week.
